Beginning March 8, 2013, the Department of Labor issued new rules for employers which included updated FLMA notices and certification forms and a new FMLA poster.
While employers are not required to use the DOL forms, employers’ forms must adapt the DOL’s version in creating their own forms. The forms can not require the employee or health care provide to disclose more information than what is required by the FMLA regulations.
